If you are experiencing issues with the battery charging of your Samsung Galaxy S Advance, probably the device’s MicroUSB charging port is damaged .
In this article, we will teach you how to repair it by yourself!
You will need:
– A new USB connector for Samsung Galaxy S Advance GT-I9070 (you can buy it on Ebay);
– A Phillips screwdriver
– A plastic tool;
STEP 1: Turn off the phone, then remove the back cover and the battery. Remove the Sim card and the MicroSD card (if any).
STEP 3: Now, gently remove the middle frame, inserting a plastic tool between the glass and the frame itself.
STEP 4: Unplug all the connectors and the antenna cable, as shown in the picture below.
STEP 5: Now, gently “unstick” the volume rocker keys and the power button from the frame.
STEP 6: Unscrew the two screws holding the motherboard. Then help with a plastic tool to disconnect the connector of the charging port.
STEP 7: At this point, remove the logic board.
STEP 8: Tear out the black sticker the covers the charging port’s flex cable.
STEP 9: Gently raise the flex cable and remove the USB connector with a plastic tool.
STEP 10: Remove the antenna cable from the broken part, insert the spare part and, finally, reassemble the device!!
